School Policies

• Sunday School attendance is essential, since classes are held only once a week.
• Three or more consecutive absences require a meeting between the teacher and the parent to discuss the situation, and may result in dismissal from the program.

• Respectful behavior: Students must show respect toward teachers, staff, fellow students, and school property. Disrespectful behavior may result in a warning or disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal from the program, depending on the nature and severity of the behavior.
• Parental responsibility: Parents are expected to reinforce the importance of education, respect for teachers, personal hygiene, cleanliness, modest dress, and appropriate Islamic manners and behavior.
• Hijab: Girls aged eight and older are required to wear the hijab throughout the school day and during all school activities.
• Dress code for boys: Shorts are not permitted. Boys are expected to wear modest, appropriate clothing that reflects Islamic standards of dress.
• Footwear: Slippers and house shoes are not permitted for boys or girls. Students must wear footwear suitable for the school environment.
• Clothing: Clothing with inappropriate images, offensive language, or messages inconsistent with Islamic values is not permitted.
• Phones: Cell phones must be silenced and kept in backpacks, and may not be used until after school.
• Property: Parents are responsible for the full cost of repairing any damage their child causes to ICI property.

• Sunday School tuition is $75 per student per month.
• The first payment is made by credit card, and the card number is securely recorded.
• Later payments may be made by credit card, check (payable to ICI) or cash, and are due on the first Sunday of each month. If payment is not received by the first Sunday, your card will be charged automatically for that month.
• Full-year or semester payments are appreciated.
• Once your child is enrolled, tuition is charged monthly regardless of attendance, unless we are informed in writing that your child has withdrawn.
• Textbooks for your child’s class are purchased by the parent.

• No student may leave school without parental permission.
• At the end of the day, students are dismissed directly from the classroom teacher to their parent or guardian.
• Students may not bring weapons of any kind to school.

ICI management and school staff are not responsible for any accident, loss or damage, injury, or illness to participating students.
